I don’t dye my hair, it is down to my waist. I don’t generally style my hair unless it is a REALLY special occasion. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want my hair to be healthy and look amazing. I just am a hair down naturally or up in a ponytail type of gal. I spent a good 15 years dying my hair every color of the rainbow. In 8th grade I’d sit in church and color my hair with crayola washable markers (I am not claiming to be a saint by any means!) and in my early 20’s I would cycle almost monthly from bleach blonde, 1/2 blonde 1/2 red or whatever funky color sounded good, and black or red hair.

About 4 years ago I decided that I would have more than enough time to dye my hair after I start getting grey hairs and my time to enjoy the color I have now is probably limited so I should enjoy it now. I also decided that I would quit the vicious cycle of wanting long hair, getting it down to my shoulders, then wanting attention through doing something drastic and cutting my hair off. I trim it now, but nothing more than maintenance.

So here I am with pretty aged hair when you get down toward the tips. Even though I don’t style or dye my hair, it still needs some TLC to stay vibrant and fresh.

Here is a fantastic deep conditioning serum I made and use when my hair is feeling down and lifeless. I seriously felt the difference!:

Deep Conditioner

Put entire mixture evenly throughout your hair and let sit 30-60 minutes, then shampoo out!
(Keep in mind I have a LOT of hair so you may be able to get by with 1/2!)

  • 2 Cups Coconut Oil
  • 10 Drops Rosemary Oil
  • 10 Drops Geranium Oil
  • 10 Drops Lavender Oil

And as always, the easier faster way to get healthy hair for you non-do-it-yourselfers!

Recently, I've been feeling stuck in a repetitive cycle, similar to a hamster running on a wheel without making any progress. It takes constant surrender, connecting with something larger than myself, turning off my head, and moving my feet to make any real...
